Edgeborough School is a preparatory school located in beautiful countryside just outside Farnham. The historic core of the school is Frensham Place, originally a private residence, now providing accommodation for some of the school’s functions. 

A masterplan for the school undertaken by Weyside Architects in 2020 identified the need for a new school reception as a priority. The original grand entrance hall of Frensham Place provided the perfect opportunity to create a reception that would make the best first impression. 

The project involved the creation of a smart new reception office with a new opening and reception desk onto the original grand entrance hall. Conservation cleaning and repair of the original interior fabric together with an interior designer's expertise has produced a light, welcoming and functional space within the historic setting that will serve the school well.
